Among the most famous and respected television news 20/20 was the response of ABC to CBS for 60 minutes. Although some stories were funny, stupid and sometimes frivolous, the “20/20” program contained reports of investigations that repeatedly exposed corruption, medical, educational, and government violations,incompetence and unfair negligence, as well as reports of Sunday events from (often) different angles can be seen in the night news. Although most of the messages turned out to be really, some were advertised as sensational; others led to libel charges and at least one storywas a shameful fraud.
